Tricia
Weaver used to dream about a particular driveway and, some years later, a friend
took her for
healing at the Reading Spiritualist church where she realised it was the
same place as in her dreams. That day,
Tricia learned that the Spiritualist church held public meetings where
mediums communicate with the spirit-world. A different medium visited the
church each week and gave
messages from the spirit-world, and all this made sense to her.In the early 1980's, Tricia Weaver became actively involved in the Reading Spiritualist church. For three years she helped make tea and supported all she could, and then an opportunity came along to join a mediumship development group. Tricia learned mediumship and gained experience in this group for several years and developed further her own gifts of mediumship and clairvoyance. A few years later, at the last minute, Tricia was asked to stand in for a medium who was stuck in traffic and, something inside her said 'yes'. That night was the start of her public mediumship.
A local medium, Dennis Lynch, took Tricia under his wing, she used to visit him, talk about spiritual matters and he set an example of what mediumship could be like. With help and guidance of Dennis and the Reading church mediums, Tricia learned to control her mediumship and has progressed to the stage where now she regularly gives evidential public demonstrations of mediumship.
Why be a medium?
In the beginning Tricia didn't choose to be a medium however, it seems that her path was inevitable. Tricia says, "it gives me great satisfaction to be able to help people and bring the two worlds together. I am not just helping people this side but helping those in the spirit world to reconnect and be reassured that the two worlds are really very close together."
